Engineering Transport Properties in Interconnected Enargite‐Stannite Type Cu <sub> 2+ <i>x</i> </sub> Mn <sub> 1− <i>x</i> </sub> GeS <sub>4</sub> Nanocomposites

چکیده

Understanding the mechanisms that connect heat and electron transport with crystal structures defect chemistry is fundamental to develop materials thermoelectric properties. In this work, we synthesized a series of self-doped compounds Cu2+xMn1−xGeS4 through Cu for Mn substitution. Using combination powder X-ray diffraction, high resolution transmission microscopy precession-assisted diffraction tomography, evidence are composed interconnected enargite- stannite-type structures, via formation nanodomains density coherent interfaces. By combining experiments ab initio phonon calculations, discuss structure–thermoelectric properties relationships clarify interesting in system. We demonstrate excess Cu+ substituted Mn2+ dopes holes into top valence band, leading remarkable enhancement power factor figure merit ZT.
